We want to go to a cattle auction. Will be in SJ Jan 12-18. Other than Palamares is there another around those days? Too much traffic and peole and walking for me at Palamares.

head into Key Largo any night about 11pm. There will be plenty of not-so-prime beef being sold for about $80 a head.

No offense Versatile but that's a TripAdvisor type question. Around SJO, ask those who buy beef like the Esquinas restaurant. In general terms, they grow beef in Guanecaste so I'd go there.
