I was reading the following article http://www.costaricauncovered.com/trave ... asinos.php which refers to the "Casino Tropical" and the fact that they had REAL blackjack which paid 3/2 when you get blackjack and not even money like all the other casinos in San Jose. Does the Casino Tropical still exist and if so, where is it located? Thanks! |

The Casino Tropical is at the Hotel Morazon. I am unawaree that they have "real blackjack". I would think NOT since they cater to Ticos mostly. The fairest "real blackjack" (most similar to Vegas rules) is probably at the Horseshoe,Fiesta in Alauella, or perhaps the Clarion. The WORST is at the Colonial or the DR. |

For what it's worth, I read this article before my first trip to Costa Rica in 2003. There's no evidence that this website has been updated recently. As with most information on the web, trust but verify. Osogrande You can't buy happiness, but you can rent it. |
