Just wondering what mongering opportunities, if any, lie there? We're considering the east coast for our next trip but would we be missing out on some P4P fun? Any thoughts or experiences?

Good2U, As you can see, not a lot of guys venture over to the "other side". It's got a much different "vibe" over there, and it's totally different than the Pacific side or the gulch. And you won't see too many gringo's there either. It can be a nice diversion or "getaway", but be careful. Like I said... things are a little "different" over there. Buena suerte, MG

There is virtually no p4p in Puerto Viejo...and it is actually frowned upon (There are a few crackhead hoes who hang out at the bridge). I usually bring a favorita with me, but on one occasion, I went solo and hooked up with a nica from San Jose who needed a place to stay and some TLC. I met her at Johnny's Place, one of four discos in PV. After two nights, I gave her C 20K and a bus ticket back to SJ. IMO, I lucked out...this was more of an exception rather than the norm in PV. |

Kinda disappointed to learn about the non p4p action in Puerto Viejo. Here I am all set for a 4 day fun in the sun itinerary. I gonna have to hit up Johnny's place and see if luck favors me this weekend. Will keep y'all posted. |
