Going to be staying at Los Suenos Marriot this week and want to charter a boat a day or two. If anyone has any recommendations on who I should contact I'd appreciate it. Also if anyone is down there and wants to join us pm me and we'll work something out.

You might PM Mucho Gusto. He is CRTs resident fishing expert and is particularly knowledgeable about that area.

I went out on the Sailfish with Capt Bill. Nice older Bertram. Bill has been fishing down there for 30 years or so. We went in Jan 09. Caught 4 sails and 3 nice dolphin. Later in the week I went to Quepos (I think that is the correct spelling) a boat cost about $400US per day less than in Jaco.

The summer isn't the best time to fish in CR though, I hope you know that?

I also have been on the sailfish. It is a good boat and we had great results.

Before you drive into Los Suenos turn left and go down to the beach. You will see a CC boat ferry passengers from boats in the bay to the beach. Ask him if he knows anyone looking to fish. All the boats out there are charters. You can fish out of a panga or 22-25' boat for 1/2 day for $300 and they will feed you. It's great to do on short notice.
