I have used a surf rod with lures or bait at the mouth of the river estuary at Tamarindo where it dumps into the ocean with some success. Ocean fish (and crocs) wait there for the river current to provide a meal. |

I have surf fished all over on the pacific side from matapalo to golfito, caught snappers, roosterfish, jacks,mackerel,barracuda. Fire away with your questions. |
