Are there any amateur road race tracks in San Jose or close by. Is it a reach for a skilled tourist to be able to drive a race car at any of these amateur tracks? 50 has some Drag strip and Road racing skills he acquired in his youth! 50 ![]() |

The only track I know of is La Guacima north of San Jose, you may have noticed it from your plane upon arrival. http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/La_Guacima I want to visit just for the photo ops ![]() http://lin.navegalo.com/guacimafotos/th ... ated&cat=0 |

50 ![]() Here is a link to their website: http://laguacima.navegalo.com/index.asp I don't see any info about "track days" or such. Perhaps with an FIA license one could rent a seat for a race? Hmmm..... ![]() ![]() |

I don't think that the ticos would have a suit that would fit me... At 6'2" and 250lb I'd better pack my own. ![]() Then again, unless they can move the seats in those cars, I wouldn't probably wouldn't even fit in the car! ![]() |
