Post subject:  Automobile Racing Tracks

Are there any amateur road race tracks in San Jose or close by. Is it a reach for a skilled tourist to be able to drive a race car at any of these amateur tracks?
50 has some Drag strip and Road racing skills he acquired in his youth!

The only track I know of is La Guacima north of San Jose, you may have noticed it from your plane upon arrival.

I've wondered the same thing. I'm an amature SCCA racer here at home and that sure is an awesome looking track that we fly over every trip...

Here is a link to their website:

I don't see any info about "track days" or such. Perhaps with an FIA license one could rent a seat for a race? Hmmm..... :?:

I don't think that the ticos would have a suit that would fit me...
At 6'2" and 250lb I'd better pack my own. :o

Then again, unless they can move the seats in those cars, I wouldn't probably wouldn't even fit in the car! :x
