PURA VIDA! Just got back home last night. Last week, there was some red-tide along the Pacific coast, from Jaco, all the way up to Playa del Coco. But it's slowly going away, and fishing is getting better. Fished this past Saturday around the Bat Islands, which is way North - at the Costa Rica / Nicaragua border. My son landed an estimated 280-300 lb. blue marlin after a 90 minute battle. Plus we got a couple nice sailfish, and several Dorado, Tuna and Amberjacks. Have fun! MG ![]() |

Can't help you there my friend. I have no idea what's available for freshwater fishing around SJO. ![]() MG |

I guess the closest place from San Jose for freshwater fishing is Lake Arenal, which is around 2.5 hours by car. There are several tour operators that offer fishing on the lake. |

I'm sure Vic kept you busy with with the ATVs, zip lines, horses on the beach... So el tiempo para su familia is muy bueno.... But, next time you're gonna need a diversion of some young sweeet chicas.... So, count me in for the Pink Snapper Excursion, part III ... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
