Any one know if you can rent jet skis in Joco.

Two years ago we went on a ski tour of the national park but I think we were in Qupoes.

Sorry, but I haven't rented one for 2 years. There was a place north of the BB on same side of main street, that rented 4x4s, mopeds, etc. There was also a place on Herradura beach that had rental units, but I heard that the gringo owner from Detroit got sick and had to return to the states, however the jet skis were still in the bay this summer, just don't know who is running them. You can probably ask any of the tour operators downtown, Golden Rod, etc, and they can hook you up

Wheaty.

There are 2 ways to rent jet skis in Jaco

On the main street about a block from Max X Menos on the opposite side of the street (You will see the sign) and right by the beach there is a guy there as well. I only did it once and they take you basically on a tour and you can't venture out on your own (not for me)..

It is the same deal with the ATV (4x4's) available in the same places, no going out on your own, it is all tour based unfortunately.

You may want to send a PM to Thirdworld, he lives in Jaco and may have some more detailed info for you.

If you find any different please keep us posted.

Let me look through some of my info.. I remember having a number for wave runner rentals. By the way, I saw a real old fashioned jet-ski ( the stand up kind) at a carwash here in Jaco the other day. Don't see those around much anymore.

Wheaty:

You can contact me when you get into Jaco and I'll get you set up with a good Jet Ski-Rental here. Let me know if you wish to do a Canopy Tour or ATV tour as well as I get discounts on them for my guests. You can find me at the Beatle Bar nightly at the Tour Desk where they sell the Beatle Bar T-Shirts by the Main Bar.

I'd also be glad to help point you in the right direction for the best dining experiences here as well as anything else you have questions about.
