Anyplace in or Near the Gulch where I can a good Relatively Low Limit Poker Game? (1$/$2 NL or $5/$10 Limit Type Game)? I know the SL game is on Sundays. I will be staying there Tuesday thru Friday. Do they ever get a game up during the week at all? Also does the Horseshoe still have the Poker Room upstairs? Last time I was there Dewey Tomko was still one of the owners, It was great to get into a $5/$10 game with Him, Humberto and few other really well known players. Any Tournaments Around During the week with reasonable Buy-in? |

Hey TM, I posted about a game at the Clarion Hotel, Paradiso Casino. They have a 1 2 NL everyday and play 2 5 NL sometimes. As far as I know, this is the only game close to the gulch right now. If you want to travel a bit, Fiesta near the airport has 2 5 NL and a tournament on Wed. night. (50 dollar buy in, 50 dollar rebuys) I didn't like this tourney. Also, Hotel Corobici has 1 2 NL every night. (located off the autopista about halfway between airport and the gulch) GL. May all the flops smack you in the face! - The Teacher |

Colonial Casino (next to Del Rey) also has daily games, 1/2. |

What is the story on the Horseshoe?? I havent been to San Jose in about 3 years, Is it still opoen and do they still have a Poker Room? |

As of June 2 the only daily game going was at the Paradiso. 1/2 no limit sometimes 2/5. I found no games going at colonial or horseshoe. Check the post about the short lived game at Del Ray. I sure things will change again when Im back next month. |

Last I heard the Horseshoe was being remodeled and was going to partially return to it's roots. Old timers will remember when it was night club (Cheetahs) rather than a casino. I understand they are going to open the third floor as a paigow room, make the second floor a night club with rooms and have the rest of the gambling games on the ground floor. |

I know there are daily 1/2 NL tables at Colonial. Russ, the guy who used to run poker at Horseshoe, then Amon Plaza, is now at Colonial. He told in over MD that he has daily games there now. |

Orange, your info is old. Russ bagged the Colonial to move to the DR but got shutdown. I do not know if the Colonial kept the game going but it is definitely not Russ's. BKTUNA I am never going home |
