Can anyone tell me if there are any regular limit games, and what the blinds are, and what the rake is?

Bookie,

There are regular games in two places that I know of, Casino Paradiso (inside Clarion Amon Plaza Hotel) and Colonial Casino.

They have $1/2 NL, the rake is 10% up to $4 (standard).

There is a high limit game at Fiesta Casino on the way from the airport (not the one in the gulch), the buy-in is in the thousands, not hundreds.

Orange...thanks for responding...I've heard of those games, and I believe they are both no-limit. I have a friend visiting who only likes to play limit (three blind size bets per betting round). I've never seen one of those games in SJ, although I don't pay much attention to it.

With all due respect post are moved to the proper forum as that is where they belong. Otherwise we would have one big giants jigsaw puzzle as to where to find information.

Sorry, Bookie. I misread the question. I thought you wanted no limit. As far as I know, there are no games that are limit in the gulch. As you probably know, limit poker at low blind levels is a fishing expedition, so you need to go 15/30, 20/40, 30/60 to get true poker. And you will NOT find that level of action in the gulch.

The only place where you may find limit games would be at Fiesta casino on the highway from the airport. They have high stakes poker with some players (a few pros, Humberto Brenes has been known to play there).

You may want to figure out a way to contact them and find out.
