There are a few places. I know two: Casino Paradiso (inside Clarion Amon Plaza Hotel) and Colonial Casino (down the block from Del Rey) have daily cash games beginning in the late afternoons.

It's a 1/2 NL game, with $40 min/$200 max buy-in, crazy action sometimes, with people winning nice pots and then losing their minds and their stacks. If you get on a little run, you can make serious cash.

Sign up for the Memorial Day CRT NL poker tourney. I think it's a $50 buy-in.

I really really wanna go to the BBQ. But my bud has us signed up for a couple nights in the jungle. I don't wanna bail on him as he's quite excited about it.

I'm not sure about the free drinks, it's been a while since I played there. To have a good session you need to put in 3-4 hours at the table, so I don't play cash games much there. The CRT tourneys are different, it's among friends and they're fun.

It's mostly gringos: tourists, local retired gringos (who come by to take the tourists' money  ), and one or two ticos (rarely).

Screw the jungle, it will be there next trip.

Yeah, I hear ya on that one. But I think he wants pics to show of the trip. Pics other than that of T/A. hahaha You know.....there should be a section on this forum of download-able nature shots. That way you can have various pics to show co-workers and family. A photo log of how you spent your time in CR. Be funny if all 8k members went on the same vacation. lol!
