I know that Colonial (next to Del Rey) has a craps game going, I looked in in November, good action. I was told by the casino manager that Paradiso (inside Amon Plaza) was supposed to start a game in December, they got a new table, it looks cool, purple felt if I remember. Don't know about Horseshoe, I never liked that place. |

Rolled the bones at the horeshoe last night, still open and only US dollars at the craps table, unlike other table games where colones or dollars are allowed. had a great 30 minute roll and with my black jack experience ended up nicely for the day. |

the casino next to the delray always has a game going...they will open it up even if no one is playing...you will be the only gringo playing unless you bring one with you....the tica guys play the same as us....i have won and lost there so its the same as anywhere....the horseshoe not sure if it is open ...is the only place i felt like the house was after every penny i had...( all casinos want every penny , but the horseshoe shows it) if i got up over 200.00 there i always made sure i walked out a winner...as i know they are praying i lose it back ....the casino down by the denny"s i have been told runs a good game but i have never been there....if you are in town in march around the 15th ...i will be playing !!!! |

I felt the same about Del Ray (it wanting every penny of my money) based on the fact that they do not offer true black jack, but a version of it that does not pay out on black jack. Is this the case because they know they have you as a captive audience, so why offer you a real game where the house has to pay out a little something more? Their version of the game 21 does not offer anything over black jack rules and seems to take one big player advantage away. They are always busy, shows they are running a smarter business. |

SeaRay, That version of blackjack is not played only at Del Rey. It is not a game they made up to make more money, it is played across CR. I don't know that much about it but it seems to be the CR version of blackjack. Not too many places offer real blackjack. Casino Paradiso, inside Amon Plaza Hotel, does. |
