Russ at the Paradiso has informed me that starting tonight at 7pm he is running a weekly blackjack tournement at the Paradiso Casino which is at the Clarion Hotel. I assume the entry fee will be either $50 or 100 but I am not sure.

Need some help understanding how you play a black jact tourney. With poker you are attempting to gain the other players at the tables chips, how do you do this with black jack, when it is always you against the house, unless the highest chip count wins, you against the house.

Basically the person with the most chips at the end of the qualifying round goes on to the finals with other qualifiers. (just like a poker final table) Then you do it again for the prize money.

VB,
In the finals, do all players start out with equal chips or do you carry over what you had from the prelims?

I'd be down to try a $50 tourney but a cien is just a little too high for me.

Orange,
VB has obvisiouly left for his downtown responsibilties (meeting mongers at the Del Rey), so let me answer your question.
You get 500.00 in chips at the start of every round. There are no carryovers. Everyone starts out equal every round.
