Do any of you have a favorite rafting company you use in CR? I have heard the Pasquar Rivier is the best in CR and has class 4 or 5 rapids during the rainy season.

Don't expect too much from the rafting in CR. I've done what is supposed to be the best stretch during a fairly high water time. It's good when you're in the rapids but it's a slow descent and there's a lot of rowing between runs. Having said that, it's still great to be in CR and up in the rain forest and I had a blast. FWIW, my only daytrip to date in CR was rafting that day and it was there I met a person who would later introduce me to the CRT board. Thank heavens for that daytrip.

BTW, I don't even remember the name of the river. It was a four hour drive from SJO and said to be the best of all the rafting tours available, who knows.

I have five trips on the Pacuare now, so if I can provide some info on this type of activity just send a pm. There are several rivers that provide good rafting trips.

I really enjoy this activity and usually make an effort to do this when circumstances permit. I hope to arrange custom river trips from now on with a contact in the river guide business.
