Now that the advent of the NFL season is upon us, I have a few questions
that perhaps some of you can answer.

Did I hear correctly that there's going to be a third game on Thanksgiving?

Are there going to be TWO games on Monday nights now?

Do I have this straight...now that the NFL has it's own channel, ESPN's
Primetime can no longer broadcast any highlights until midnight?
What...no more Chris Berman saying 'he.... could...go....all.....the...way!'
and 'rumbling, bumbling, stumbling', etc. Is it true that some games will only be broadcast on the NFL channel? If I'm not mistaken, the only way
to get that channel is via satellite on Direct TV.

I don't know anout your questions but are the NFL people stupid or do they pay people to come with this $hit............ I thought the last straw was when if a business was having a super bowl party you could not call it that and it couldn't be on a TV larger than 60 inches or they would sue.

That's crazy........

I know the Monday night Double-header is for real...and I think The Thanksgiving deal with 3 games is true also. The other stuff seems pretty stupid though. Why would they piss off the majority of thier fans like that? Whoever came up with some of those dumb-phuck ideas is probably in the hotel biz.

Maybe I'm new school or something but I'm excited about the idea of more football games. But the way its going this year is as follows: There is will be regular Sunday games, obviously. There will be an east coast and west coast Monday night game some Mondays but not all Mondays. There is a Thrusday game on the first week. There are three Thanksgiving games. And once college football season is over, there will be random Thursday and Saturday games starting week 15, I believe. As far as the channels go, the NFL network will air some of the off-day (Thurs, Sat) games. And you dont need satellite to get the NFL network, at least not in my area. I have digital cable and its free. ABC, FOX, CBS, and ESPN will be airing all the regular games that they normally do. Im pretty sure my info is correct, but if its not, feel free to make additions/corrections. Hope this helped. Go Gators and Fins!!!

Remember the strike the NFL almost had last year? Probably not. Well, this is a direct result of the deal the owners signed with the players giving them larger portions of revenues. In order to keep their profits the same the owners needed to come up with new ways of generating revenue that they don't have to share with the players.

Yeah, I felt like the owners gave in to Gene Upshaw because they couldn't afford to lose the revenue of the strike. Also one of the deals Upshaw made was if a player like what Terrell Owens did with Philly last season CANNOT be banned from the team by the coach. So the players can act more selfish than ever without any repercussions

Some of the games will be broadcast ONLY on the NFL network. The NFL is trying to pressure the cable companies to include them and pay them
