I'll be staying in Jaco for a few days in Sept and would like to arrange a day of fishing. Is it best to arrange this before hand with the hotel or other booking service or can a boat easily be booked on a days notice?

Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Just go there, and book a boat after you get there. It's still the off season, and there are a ton of boats. Your best bet is to walk down to the marina, and work the deal, directly with the captain. You stand a better chance of getting a better price. If you go through your hotel, it usually costs more. YMMV. Have fun!

Is Los Suenos the only marina in the area?

There's plenty of charter boats down in Quepos also.

Diablo,

Does your buddy have a website?

Thanks, Hal

Hal-
I emailed him and he said he is working on a new site. If he gets it done soon, I'll pass it along. If you call him, mention Fabio's name.
Buena suerte

Diablo: Would it be possible for you to PM me with his email address? I'm looking to go out as well, but since I'm travelling alone, I won't be dropping $1000 US for a day of fishing. I'd be more interested in a 1/2 day offshore is his rate is reasonable.

Hal, if you're down there the same time as me (Sept. 21-27) & want to split the cost, let me know.
