I did lots of searches and found nothing.
Somebody told me there were topless beaches or something.
Or is nudism outlawed everywhere?

Have never heard of a clothing optional beach in CR. If they exist would think they would be low key on the Caribbean side. Lot of European tourist on that side.

I saw a news clip from the beach at Jaco over the holiday. I saw several gals without tops and many werring a thong on the bottom.

Actually there are miles of beaches you may enjoy in the buff. Naturalista that I am I have investigated this. There are NONE formally designated or legally permitted, only vast stretches of beach where simply, nobody is around and you can see a long ways. Off season is better for this activity.

One social gathering place is la playita in Manual Antonio but that is not my thing and I haven’t been there. The Caribbean around the resorts is difficult because it is a relatively short stretch of coast and very crowded a lot of the time. That said, a year or so ago my Hebrew GF of the moment whipped off her top in the middle of Puerto Viejo and went for a swim - nobody batted an eyelash. But then she had pretty nice tits, and I am assuming you are a guy.

If you are willing to walk or have a boat/quad/horse there is a brave nude world out there. An easily accessible place for starters is Playa Grande near Tamarindo in anything less than peak season. If you are staying in town just walk north and wade the river at low tide, with an eye out for the crocodillos. Or stay in PG and walk further north. If there are people around I wear the shorts. If not (you can see for miles) – phuck the shorts and the surf is fun and pretty safe for a skinny dip. Heaven on earth, especially with a like-minded latina.

There is some sorta trail that runs much of the far Pacific Coast and in the drier times you can ford the rivers one way or another.. My amigo and some of his friends the other week rode their quads from Tambor to Tamarindo – quite a few miles/days. Yes, there are still many many kilometers of deserted beaches. It is not that hard to walk further than the typical tourist, and the ones that bothered to walk or quad or ride as far you did probably won’t give a shit whether you are wearing any clothes or not. Works for me.

Again naturalism is not an accepted thing in Costa Rica and you never see it. Butt, opportunities abound if you are willing to get off the beaten path. Watch out for the sun it is intense on the coasts – you will be gringo frito if you don’t take care and use sunscreen.

No Tan Lines!
