SHIT.

I didn't realize Houston played THURSDAY.

Please strike that game from my picks and ADD USC +7 1/2 - THAT game hasn't started yet.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Dese mudderfuckers do it to me AGAIN. Sure glad (AGAIN) I don't bet on this shit anymore.

So a few weeks ago, Georgia Tech is sitting on a big lead with 30 seconds to play and instead of taking a knee, runs a play that they fumble and it's run back for a TD that beats me.

So tonight I have USC +7 1/2. Game goes to OT. Winner winner chicken dinner !!! Buttttttt,,,,, hold on there just a minute. In the NFL, I'm a winner BUT this is college.

While the OT score is updating on espn.com I realize that in the THIRD OT, when a team scores a TD they MUST go for 2, Stanford COULD actually go up by 8 and USC doesn't score and I lose.

I need not go any further,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I don't know HOW real gamblers don't go postal on someone's ass over this shit,,,,,,

I watched your pick go down in flames live. It was a good game though. Stanford QB Andrew Luck is the real deal, just like everybody says.

I understand your frustration but I still think the college overtime rules are more equitable to both teams then those of the NFL.

You lost last night game not because of the overtime rule but rather because your team was unable to score. There are many scenarios but just a few that come to mind.

USC scores a TD and get the 2 point conversion. Overtime 4. USC can score fail on the 2 point conversion for 6 points. If Stanford does not score you win. Stanford scores and makes the 2 pointer, you win. Stanford scores and fails on the 2 pointer. Overtime 5 and you are still alive.

USC kicks a field goal in o/t 4. Now if Stanford fails to score or scores a TD you win.

Lot of ways your team could have won so it was not the o/t rules that beat them.

A lot can happen in College whereas the NFL your team might lose and never have gotten a offensive play.

I would like to see the NFL adopt a system for overtime where both teams have an opportunity to score

I totally understand there were plenty of ways for me to win my bet in OT but the point is,,,,,,,, in the NFL I would have already WON my bet.

I doubt the NFL will change,,,,,,,,,

The NFL has had 325 overtime games since the rule was adopted in 1974. The results:

The team that has won the toss has won 169 times (52.0%).

I doubt that the 156 teams that walked off the field as losers who never had a chance to run a single offensive play will much comfort in that statistic.

I have no idea how many college game have gone into overtime but I do know that not one single college team that has played an overtime game has walked off the field as losers who did not have an equal shot at winning the game.

It is for fun

one has to make at least 60 bets to win
each week 3 college and 3 pro bets max
there is also a cap on bets ....80????

You can place or change a bet anytime before kickoff

Admin said the rule about a cut off would be enforced this year... kinda hard to do that when the lines are not posted untill Thursday

Osgood, you are playing for fun  ... want to borrow the monkey

Admin said the Thursday cut off for all games would be enforced this year but BK said not so. That was when the lines were being posted in a timely manner. I personally think the Thursday cutoff was unreasonable for Saturday and Sunday games.

If there is another challenge next year the rule should either be scrapped or enforced.
