Ya LOL I did mean ICE…The people I stayed with said that those crews are actually pretty quick to respond to calls. So if shit is going down they just call them and say it is power trouble hahaha.

No I didn’t mean to sound discouraging of visiting the Caribe at all, only relating some of my impressions and experiences. Kayas would BE the place to relax in the hammock and drink some Rum. It was in the town where I got rubbed a little the wrong way related above. And yes robbed while sleeping in the room at the time – not that this couldn’t have happened anywhere but a bummer all the same. I have a strong feeling that the thief was one of the shithooks that I was ‘ignoring’…

So ya Tman is right as usual, nothing you wouldn’t see wandering a couple blocks from the gulch, or Tamarindo or where ever. Way less pressure from beggars etc than in the gulch for that matter. For the most part the people are laid back, peaceful and tolerant, it is their place after all we are the visitors. It was holiday too so everything was a little revved up. I’m going back to Caribe probably lots of times in the future and would encourage anyone to check it out. And if you are looking for investment property, Wow.

I’m not ready to give up on the Pacific though. Shoot a guys got to get a suntan somewhere. 8)

Novice....OMG.....say it ain't so....

Lets see now..you are telling us you encountered a bad driver????

Holy smokes....that's why S.J. is a perfect pedestrian city where all the cars always yeild to the pedestrian.

And -

You actually encountered a begger????? I heard some rumors that when you leave the Del Rey it's possible someone might say they are hungry and ask for money.

With those types of people I will not return to the Carribean again!!!!!
All my other trips there were wonderful but i guess times change.
