We are pleased to announce that the Costa Rica Holdem Cup series will be coming to the Clarion Amon Plaza poker room this month.

The tournament is monthly with a $115 dollar event on Fridays and a $230 event on Saturdays.

The opening event will be January 30th and 31st. Each tournament will pay out cash prizes and special prizes from Johnnie Walker. In addition there will be points awarded based on your finishing place that will qualify the top twenty points leaders into a freeroll tournament with a $8,500 entry into the September Aruba Poker Classic as a grand prize.

This series was run at the White House last year and was very well attended. We expect 60 to 100 entries with first prizes from $5,000 to $10,000.

There will be a total of six events

Please feel free to contact me for more info.

BKT,
Is there really NO re-buys on Sunday or is that a typo? In another thread, you said 1 re-buy.

Thanks, see you next Sunday.

A sit and go is a tournament '[usually one table} that starts when ten show up to ply. In this case they are small buyins where the winner wins a seat in the bigger events.

I'm coming to town April 30th - May 3rd. Are the $115 and the $230 tournaments still going to be playing that Friday and Saturday?

I would also like to play some ring games for 2-5 or 5-10 NL HE or PLO.

Let me know because I will be in town.
