Anyone else going to the game tonight? I have already purchased my ticket for $50.00 (20,000 face value). Everyone all over town are wearing their jerseys. It should be a good time.

I am staying at the Hotel Presidente and am willing to team up and share a ride to the game.

Well, the game is being televised on ESPN2 right now and it is 0 to 0 in the 26th minute only 64 more to go. It is raining like a bitch though, which isn't a surprise. :P

Well the Ticos kicked our ass, I bet Vegas Bob is celebrating.

Question for you gentlemen that were in CR last night...I realize the Ticos/Ticas really didn't care who they were playing as long as they won, but did they realize they were playing against the US's 'B' team?

Funny GT, I thought the same thing, but believe me the goal of the Ticos was to get to qualify for the world cup and if the US team wants to send the B team I guess they have play who's in front of them.

I have not seen anything quite like it driving home last night people were out in the streets in the pouring rain jumping up and down waiving flags etc. Avenida Segunda had cars blowing horns and driving up and down people hanging out of windows etc. & this went on WELL INTO THE NIGHT-------Central had groups of people just partying in the pouring rain. Simple clean celebrations, no issues other than happy Ticos & Ticas enjoying their journey to get to the World Cup.

Even where we were at when the Ticos Scored some of the people turned to us and stated we know its not a significant game for your side but we need to win.. very nice & even with a 3-0 loss it was interesting to watch the calm & festive aftermatch of good clean fun and celebration. Congrats to the Ticos.. See you in Germany!

Last nights game was my first soccer experience. Some how I lucked out and my ticket was under a roof in a kind of skybox. It was pouring down rain but that didn't stop the crowd. The whole stadium was really into supporting their team.

Everyone was real nice. I was have been sitting next to some VIP gals. The TV crew was there and one of the female reporter from (El Vito or Vivo) was also there doing her live reports.

The whole town was a live all day and in celebration mode last night. I paid $50 for the seat and it was will worth the money.

We were watching the game on a big screen tv at a restaurant in Brasilito. It was amazing. Everyone had their soccer shirts on, and every time CR scored (or came close to scoring) the whole place went nuts! It was raining like hell in NW Guanacaste Saturday night also. Good game though. My chica was definitely in a good mood that night !!!!!
