Hi I´m lookng for a recommendation on hotels for Quepos preferably near the beach. I will have a CIT (Chica in Tow) so I guess finding someone really isn´t an issue. Any ideas? I am hoping to leave on Tuesday AM so any help would be appreciated. I did find the Hotel Parado but hoping to spend a little less than what they are charging.

$10 includes 68 square foot of 2 uncomfortable single beds, ceiling fan and cold water shower and a parking space. If you are nice they will give you a bar of soap and a towel. In walking distance to all your favorite fun and dangerous locations in downtown Quepos.

I stay there whenever I am in town.

Quepos, while on the water, is not near a beach. I believe a river runs out into the mouth of the bay. Was once told it would be dangerous to enter the water there. The beach is in Manuel Antonio which is at least 10 miles from Quepos is the place to be. Truthfully, I would probably never stay in Quepos again. The cab ride is pretty inexpensive to the beach at Manuel Antonio which is a beautiful beach. I'm not an expert, but that is what I took from it when I was there. I stayed at the Best western which was ok. Nothing near the action as in Jaco.
