Gents, a couple questions:

First, is there a website that has the rules for the table games played in C.R. casinos? I understand that the rules for hold'em are the same as in the U.S., and someone recently posted the rules/sequence of play for toot, but I'm curious about other games, and the differences in rules from Vegas/A.C. casinos.

Secondly, as a blind gambler I have so far been limited to slots (yecch) and blackjack, with the dealer calling the cards. I wonder if there are other games I might play? I've never shot dice, nor have I played Canasta, the C.R. verision of roulette that uses a ball-drop cage instead of a wheel. Would Rummy be a good fit?

As I have sworn off prostitutes, ATV tours and drinking, I'll be looking for something to do with all that extra free time while in San Jose.

1) Why swear off?

2) Craps is a blast in the USA, but I've never seen a hopping table in my three trips to Costa Rica.

The craps table at the Club Colonial is a minimum bet of 1k colones and they have at least double odds. I didn't ask about more than that. The 1k is a bargin for craps these days. It's just not a "live" game.

I've seen it be pretty "live" once or twice. I will probably be down to play some craps this trip.
