I was wondering if anyone has ever had a dealer reshuffle in the middle of a shoe. Last night I was playing Rommy at the Horseshoe casino when a player asked for a reshuffle before the shoe had been played. I had just won 5 hands in a row and was surprised when the dealer accomodated the guy who asked. I complained to the manager but to no avail. The manager just said he had been playing for 4 hours and they always do it for him. If that is the policy then I think that table should have been closed. I ended up losing with new shoe

Unfortunately they do not abide by rules we have in such places as Las Vegas Atlantic City, Turning stone or foxwoods where its all cut and dry. They have a tendency at the shoe to cater to the player who is a regular and things like that happens.

If I were you I would gamble at the Paradiso in the Amon Plaza.. Top quality place, pretty dealers, nice layout and real rules blackjack or rummy your choice.....

I play blackjack at the Horseshoe several days a week.I can tell you firsthand that the house policy is to not reshuffle a shoe. This is not to say that a pitboss might allow it to a regular customer "on a rare occasion". They even go so far as to leave a shoe unshuffled when all players have left the table. This is left for at least 5 minutes or until a new player wants to play a different game there. These house rules are identical as to a reshuffle at the Horseshoe,Amon Plaza and the Colonial. I'm not sure what the Del Rey does but really don't care since I wouldn't play there even with someone else's money. By the way,to the CRT handicapper, the rules are identical for blackjack and rummy at the Horseshoe and the Paradiso.

I switched gambling to the Amon Plaza. Nice clean place with professional staff. I did ask about reshuffling a shoe and was told it would never be allowed.

I introduced myself to Nixon the manager and he was very friendly. He showed me some rooms and I was impressed. This might be a good alternative to Presidente but I don´t know the guest policy.
