Can anybody give me information on taking Spanish classes for a few hours a day in or near the gulch. I have seen advertisments from time to time posted outside some of the buildings, but it always seemed expensive considering the average wage in CR is around a buck fifty an hour.

If I were you I'd just go to the local library and get some spanish teaching cd's. Do as many as you can leading to your next trip. Beyond that, have the chicas help you along in conversations. If the chemistry is right they will help you with a smile.
