The Fiesta has started running their BJ tourneys again on Tuesday nights starting at 8:30pm. It is held in the VIP room and a great buffet is served with top shelf drinks all for nothing. The entry fee is $200 and the house throws in and EXTRA $100 for each player.The number of players cashing depends on the number entering. Last week we had 9 players so the pool was cut 1st= $1890
2nd= $810

The major difference is that you play against the other players instead of the house.Otherwise the same rules apply. You play a set number of hands (30 at this tourney) and the player with the most chips at the end wins. If there are more players than spots at the table they have a semi-final and a final. That's a simplified answer to your question.

Just a reminder that the Fiesta Casino in Alajuella is running their blackjack tourney again.Tonight at 8:30 in the VIP room is the $300 buy-in with the house throwing in $100 of the buy-in (your choice)for every player who gives them an hour of cash play. The last two weeks they had 14 and 11 players so the first place prize (70% of the pool with the house keeping NOTHING) was $2940 and 2310. Great food and drinks all for free.

$300 buy-in? That's way above the playing limit of 97% of the members here. :lol:

Don't let a shark like VB sucker you in without being prepared. That being said with only 30 hands being played, good betting strategy and a little luck goes a long way.
