Big Brown didn't pull it off... No reason is known for now... One of the biggest upsets ever in sports...

Sorry was not a betting race as if Big Brown was "RIGHT" which he obviously wasn't than there was NO VALUE in any way shape or form using him with anyone...

Regardless I would have never used the winner more likely Cork and Echo who ran 3rd and DH 4th... but I saved money as it was not the type of race to bet....

Now If only I could pick a winner in Baseball... Right now I can freeze over the Caribbean I'm so cold...

I was at the race and I think it was known the whole week that something was wrong with the horse but the trainer knew this was his big shot and if he could pull it off he would be on top of the world. Remember this is not horse racing it is horse business. If he scratched the horse they go from 98,000 to 40,000 fans and with over 1,000,000 bet on BB alone all that is gone as well. Just think if someone offered Dutrow $ 200,000 cash to let the horse run or something like that. I have nothing to base this on it is just a thought. I have never in my life saw the air let out of a crowd like that everyone was in a daze. It had a great economic impact on the area and the network . Possibly half a billon $ would have been lost had they scratched the horse . I had to wait over 3 hours for a taxi after the race . I waited outside the park at the Triple Crown Bar and talked with 1 man who came from Ireland just for the race. He said gas was $ 8.00 a gallon over there so be happy when you are pumping it for $ 4. By the way, the track kitchen in the barn area has good food cheap. We had a big party at barn XX racing stable I will go back. Belmont runs all summer so if you are in the Long Island area stay at the Floral Park Motel and see some racing. Also the chicks were smoking hot .
