i was looking at the HDR casino website and it doesnt mention anything about it. what are the normal table stakes at the casinos down there. also, does anyone know if they have video poker, thanks

They have a small number of video poker machines mixed in with the slot machines.

Minimum bet is $5 at all the casinos for blackjack. I do not recall what the quote is in colones (maybe 2000). While I hate gambling at HDR, one night the only action I could find there wads $25 minimum,so I went over to the Horseshore (pre-renovation) nd played $5 min. I ended up doing nicely.

Having said that, one night at the Clarion's casino, late, the only table ($5) was full and the "pit boss" would not open a table for me even though I at some point offered to play $100 a hand. But that also could have been because I did not know my name at that point.

The Colonial Casino (next door to the DR) has two tables for Rummy (similar to BJ but different) where the minimums are 500 and 1000 colonies. ($1 and $2) They have one BJ table with a minimum of $5 or 2000 colonies. ($4) The Horseshoe casino always used to have a 500 colonies Rummy table but I'm not sure what they currently have beyond $5 BJ.
