It's located at Ave 7 and Calle 6? It's rated at 2 1/2 stars (just about right for me). I did a search and the only info I could find was that it has an outdoor pool, which I already knew from reading their website, and there was no chica fee (YEAH!). I did find some info on Trip Advisor and everyone said it was a "nice, friendly hotel in a rough neighborhood and watch out for the prostitutes" (the horror!). |

I was looking for a place with a pool for my K*ds earlyer. This sounds like a nice place to. Best Western has a good rep. And it is in the downtown area. I love the part about watching out for the working girls. I just looked up their web page. They look like a nice place. pool at both locations. The downtown one is about 10 to 12 blocks from the Del ray and the other is out by the denny's when coming in from the airport. The downtown one is like 64. and includes a breaskfest, The one by Dennys is around 90. And it looks real nice and big. I am booked at a hostel and will have to look at the downtown one when I get there. |

I've stayed there before. It's American standard clean but the rooms are really small. The area looks bad, but I walked to and fro without problems my first trip. It also has the advantage of being close to a lot of the low cost MPs and Strip Clubs. I can confirm that they don't ask for guest fees, but do make sure she has her cedula, this was a problem with a cutie I fished out of a near-by soda, Los Liones, a little blue place a couple blocks to the east. For me it is also a little pricey, as you can get a Junior suite at the Morazan for the same rate. |

Thanks everyone for the info. Most people here know I'm a big Hotel Presidente advocate but I had a $150 coupon I had to use from Expedia. The Best Western was the cheapest and best located hotel to combine with the airfare. Good thing I booked it yesterday (1/5) since the total price of $543 for air and 4 nights at the BW is $50 less than airfare alone TODAY! I also like the fact that it's 1 block from Club Monaco. That should be interesting to check out. |

I stayed there in May of 2004. No problems walking around town in the day, but I took a cab at night. The rooms aren't that bad, a little small and old, but no problem with noise. The breakfast wasn't bad at all, but the few other meals I had there weren't all that great. They did have a "Guest Fee" of $10 when I stayed there. ShyOne |
