Post subject:  New Visitor Check-in @ the Presidente Updated By Admin!

I have made this a sticky since it is a big topic of discussion and edited Paco's Post Hope you don't mind so that the info gets read 1st.

Quote:
the following is direct from the mangament of the Presidente regarding the visitors policy.

We have two main reasons for the one visitor policy: theft and noise. We have learned from experience that most incidents of theft and disturbance are caused by guests having more than one visitor in their room. The points made by the members on the forum are correct. One visitor will distract the guest while the other makes the robbery. Also, late night complaints regarding noise or disturbances have been down considerably since we implemented this policy. We are just trying to maintain a peaceful atmosphere that can be enjoyed by all.

Keeping that idea in mind, we are encouraging visitors to observe a dress code as not to offend other guests. Granted, this could be a very long discussion as what “offends” people. We are just requesting the ladies to carry a jacket/sweater and throw it on when they walk into the Hotel. They are asked several times to help us out. If we get no collaboration from them, they are barred. It is not that hard to comply with.

Finally, nothing has changed. The reason we are now giving cards to the visitors is so we’ll know when they leave and how long they are inside. It has nothing to do with charging extra, etc. For security reasons we like to know who’s inside the room area. Since we added the new counter and increased the security personnel, now we can control it better.

We do expect visitors to cooperate by returning the cards when they leave; same as in any building in America where there are controls at the entrances. By law we can’t keep their IDs, so we write down their info and assign them a card.

That small counter in front of the elevators is meant to control who goes up to the rooms and into the lobby, same as the counter on the second floor by the glass door. Since we have a Casino and the Skybox on the second floor, lots of non guests walk by at all times, day and night. We can’t allow for non guest to enter the room area, so we need to watch the doors and elevators closer. We were toying with the idea of adding a door on the first floor (not a metal detector), but it was too much of an eyesore and an obstacle, so we gave up on it.

We try to make the entire thing as quick and hassle free as we can. That’s why we invested in the computer system that allows us to speed up the registration of repeat visitors and that lets us know if someone has been barred. Believe me; we keep barred visitors out for everyone’s protection. Some of these barred visitors are alleged thieves, trouble makers, drug abusers, etc. That is why we also added the free key-coded oversized security boxes to make safeguarding things easier. We made it a point to make them big enough to fit laptops.

As for the Master Suite, since it is somewhat separated from the rest of the rooms and the noise doesn’t carry as much, our staff is instructed to allow for more than one visitor at a time.

The overall idea remains to try and make it more peaceful, enjoyable and safer for everyone.

Have a great year, and thank you for your continued patronage of the Hotel Presidente!

The Pres does not "check out " the chicas after you cut them loose.
NOW they do..
They also have a new small counter in the lobby before the elevators where we can sign the chicas in. When you check in a chica they now give her a "Visitor card" which she can clip on her shirt, she is instructed to return the card to the desk in the lobby (or the front desk if it's late) when she leaves the hotel.
I made sure to tell each chica it was IMPORTANT that she returned the card before leaving the hotel, and that she had it when leaving my room, otherwise I could possibly be charged an overnight "guest " fee, or they could put her on the "blacklist" for not following the rules and returning it. Being a regular at the Presidente I was more concerned about her getting blacklisted than the guest fee.
We had a discussion at Happy Hr. one evening about the "little known" rules at the Presidente and apparently some chicas have been put on the list for not following some of the rules to the letter. Like dressing too provocatively, they might be warned 1 or 2 times then blacklisted, or not returning the visitor card may get them on the list. It was said much of this depends who's working the desk, and unfortunately there have been 1 or 2 employees that have been known to just be intolerant about things sometimes.
Bottom line: if your date is dressed a bit slutty, make sure she has a jacket or sweater to put on before taking her to the Pres., then make sure to remind her to return the visitor card to the desk when she leaves your room.

Not sure how true it is, but a few girls had told me they couldnt go to the prez because an ex boyfriend works there and blacklisted them?

Make any sense?

The way they explained it seemed sincere, but then again some of the stuff they say is total BS.

Thanks for the clarification Paco. My post was good info as I remember from my last trip. How the hell are some of the chicas going to attach a visitors badge to bulging mounds of silicone? Great advice on coat/sweater for the chicas if the Pres is getting that picky with "sluttily dressed" girls.

Jmac, I've heard that excuse and many others, :) who knows what the real reason is...

Koppite most of the DR regulars are aware and you will notice many in the HDR carrying a sweater or jacket if they have on a revealing top, especially during the day. It seems to me the policy enforcement is very hit and miss depending on who's working the front door and/or desk, and what time of day it is. For instance at 2AM it's no big deal but at lunchtime it may be. This dress code is not a new policy, I found out about it over a year ago and you probably won't have any problems at all other than noticing they may mention it to a chica. I don't mean to sound like the Pres. is getting "picky" or a pain, it's really not that way at all but on the contrary and my stays are usually great with no complaints whatsoever. I haven't had any hassles since my 1 incident last year but it is policy the hotel has that we and the chicas should be aware of.

Post subject:  My experience

My experience at the Prez is that they sign-in visitors (to make sure they are 18+). They only give the guest card to overnight guest. If you don't sign them in as a guest they won't be on the list for the free breakfast buffet. I didn't have any additional charges for overnight guest on my bill (with the CRT discount).

Prez is still my first choice! Classy hotel with a great staff!

The prez is the best hotel in san jose if you want to be in the middle of all the actions, otherwise i hear that SL is the place to stay if you don't like the hustle and bustle of the city.

My wingman and i were sitting at the rail and i called two chicas over who were walking past the presidente. they came over and we introduced each other and they asked if we could invite them for a drink, we did. after a drink a guy from the hotel came over and told the girls that they could not hang out because of the way one of them was dressed, short skirt. So we sent the girls home to change and they came back looking hotter than when we first met them. the two sisters, 18 and 20, were shopping all day and after going home and freshing up a bit we had a few drinks and i think they wanted to hang out with us all day and night. at least that's the impression i got from them. especially their reaction when i asked them if they wanted to go up to our room, they didn't know how to respond at first. i told them that everythings cool, we just wanted to leave the bar. they agreed, we went upstairs and i told the 18 i wanted her to check out my room, she said ok. as we walked past my wingmans room, we stopped and i told them this was his room. the girls looked at each other for a moment, my girl looked at his room number and asked me where i was at, told her my room number she relayed it to sister and we walked away. i don't know if these girls where working girls or not but they sure didn't seem like it to me. i took my girl to the room, drank a couple of beers before we started kissing and after a few more got into the sexo and it was one of the best experiences i had in CR. i loved givinig it to her, she seemed liked she was gettting it good for the first time in her life. anyways, she kept calling my room and stopping by the presidente afterwards and my wingman asked me what i did to have her searching me out like that.... don't know did slip $50 into her purse before she left.

damn!! i should be in CR right now!!!!

keep an extra sweater for the chicas.

I don't know how these topics get started but I just spent 11 days at the Presidente and had sluts coming and going and in the restaurant. No problems. No different than several months ago.

Oh no, my friend. On the contrary. That's a new word that I'm adding to my vocabulary! Last night, I told mi esposa that, when she comes into the bedroom, she had better be "sluttily" dressed. She (basically) told me to shut the f*ck up! Although it didn't work, I'm not giving up. I'll try it on the chica's. I'm sure I'll have better results! 41 days 'til paradise! Tick, tock, tick, tock.........

Concerning the Master Suite..... When I was staying in it over Thanksgiving week , they told us that we could have only one chica each at the same time. If this has changed then how many can each guy bring into the suite at once? :?:

I had a chica named Pamela that I met at the DR. The first time I met her I was at the SL, TLN pretty good. The second time i ran into her was during my doubletopsecret stealth visit and I was at the Prez. She claimed she couldn't go to the Presidente because her uncle worked there. She did try to get me to take her to hotel Asia though. I passed.

Personally I think the President's policies are good ones and here's why:

1. They have gone above and beyond in providing a hotel that has renovated rooms with many amenities. More jacuzzies, the larger, digital safes (and dropping the $3 a day charge), weight room, sports bar, etc.

2. They have always been receptive to the thoughts and concerns of the CRT members.

3. They provide a safe and pleasant atmosphere, close to the action, but still maintain a professional image and can do business with people other than "mongers". This in turn allows them to make money and still provide discounts for us.

4. They are trying to make it safer and quieter for EVERYONE. Personally I value these two items very much when traveling.

5. The front desk personnel, the bellmen, Wendy and Maria, the maids and the restaurant employees have always treated me as a wanted guest.

They might not allow drunken orgies and girls dressed like tramps or street sluts to come and go as they please but do we really want that?

If they didn't have policies and procedure how long would it be before it turned into a real shithole with bad plumbing, bad housekeeping and bad food if they didn't stay on top of these things?

If you don't want these added measures you have other alternatives. For my money it's hard to beat the Presidente.
