Post subject:  which hotels have mini-fridges?

On my last trip to CR, I stayed at the del ray and the sportsman. the del ray had the mini fridges but they were fully stocked and no room in them for anything of your own. and if you raided it, it probably would cost you an arm and a leg. so I didn't use it. kept it locked. the sportsman does not have mini fridges or even ice buckets in the room. what about the presidente or hotel castillo. do they have mini fridges? i like to serve drinks in the room, keep a few beers in the fridge, keep chocolate in the fridge for ladies. any ideas?

I know the Hotel La Gran Via has a mini-fridge in the room. They do not stock it as mini bar so you have use of the entire refrigerator. There is a super market next store where you can buy supplies.

I am sure there are other hotels with an unstocked mini but I do not know which. Hopefully others will flesh out this list for you. Good Luck.

Hotel Presidente has a mini fridge in every room with plenty of space to pick up your goodies at the local mercado and stock it. Also last trip even after the news cafe was closed, I ordered some food from the Sky Box on the 2nd level and they brought it up to me close to 1 in the AM.. Don't know if it is normal practice but they certainly made me a happy camper with the late night hunger hit. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Checked out the Hotel Castillo and all the new rooms have 1/2 kitchens with refrigerators.. don't know if the new rooms are standard or what but a good portion of them had Fridges.

Skybox closes between 12:30-1 depending on how many customers and such are in there.

Sometimes if you inform the desk that you need a mini-fridge to store medicine (such as insulin) they will bring one up to you. That trick has worked for me a lot of times.

Both of the Junior suites I had at the Morazan had MiniFridges, and Jetted Tubs, they ask $75/night but will do $65/night if for a week or more. I still think its a heck of a bargain.

Amon Plaza has mini-fridge. Mostly packed with their expensive stuff, but a little room for your water, soda, etc. JB666

There is a Full size fridge in the Del Mar room at the SL. I have to check about the other rooms, but that is not all.......

At the Prez those little Mini-Firdges get COLD

You have to play with the adjustment awhile before getting the right temp.

Some rooms do, but they cost more.

That was taxes included. Ask for the "xxxxx" rate. I like 501, it has a king sized bed and a balcony.
