I've only stayed at copacabana in Jaco and I also know the deal at Del Rey & Presidente in San Jose. Anyone have any advice on other hotels in Jaco or near the gulch in SJ? |

You forgot to mention a few things, Corky. Noisy area with the Heredia and Alejuela bus terminals. Not convenient to the gulch. Not a good part of town you have to take a taxi at night. Everyone has their own preference but I think there are better values near the gulch. |

There is a Tico owned hotel called Mango Mar on the beach in Jaco. Reasonable rates and rooms with AC. I don't know if they charge a chica fee, but the way it is set up, it would probably go unnoticed coming in at night. I'll try to do a little more research here in Jaco. |
