I would eventually like to fly someplace different in CR. A couple of questions about the Tamarindo area. I hear it is the most beautiful beach town in CR. Can I get flights to Liberia? Or, do I have to make the ridiculous drive from SJ. Are there good chica spots up there? Or, should I ship a chica up to spend the week. Thanks! |

You can take a Nature Air or Sansa flight from SJO right into Tamarindo. Prices run about $70 each way. Liberia is about an hour North of Tamarindo. If you fly into Tamarindo, The airstrip is only about 10 minutes from Tamarindo Beach, a short taxi ride. Chica's are not as plentiful in Tamarindo, but they're there. When you get a chance, use the "search" function. There's a lot of info on the Tamarindo area. Good luck. Mikey-B |

You can also fly directly to Liberia. Travelocity popped up many options. |

Chi_trekker - Was not exactly sure what you were asking. Whether you were talking about flying directly to Liberia from the states or if you were talking about flying out to Tamarindo from San Jose? As mentioned above you can fly directly to Liberia from the states, although you will have fewer flying options. From San Jose you can fly directly to Tamarindo and take a short cab ride. Personally, I have always flown to San Jose. Spent a great night enjoying the town and then flown to Tamarindo the next day. I have driven to Tamarindo, because I was carrying surf boards, and flying is the better option. The great thing is if you get bored San Jose is only 40 minutes and $70 away. If you decide to go to Tamarindo send me a pm and I will let you know where I stay. Nothing fancy, but nice and just steps to a great surfing beach. As far as the ladies go, I think the numbers and quality get a little bit better each year. I recently posted on my experiences there, which you will find if you search on Tamarindo. Please feel free to pm me if you have any questions |
