Post subject:  TACA what a joke

Taca has become a joke. Myself & Pirate & his dad were to fly out of LA on 11/4. With everybody on one itinerary. Bob decides he’s not going this round & asks if possible to cancel his flight. I call Taca, they said sure, with a $100 penalty, I say fine, do it. When we check in we find that both Pirate & myself were deleted & Bob was good to go. After explaing he was in Palm Springs playing golf & wasn’t planning on going anywhere, but we certainly would like to. Nothing they would do except sell us new tickets at a much higher price of course. They just don’t get it! Well were going !!!so we decide to buy the new tickets & work it out later with them. Now the fun starts, customer non service. First off they were E tickets & I wasn’t allowed to speak to a person, only communicate through their E desk .No response. Funny they sure took the changes over the phone. I finally do get a direct customer service # & after playing voice mail tag for a week to Salvador, yes all phones go to Salvador, I finally get a fairly good English speaking guy to help. After explaining situation he apologizes, but his system doesn’t allow him to look at past flights , only forward. I then question him that aren’t most CS issues past tense, after the fact. They just don’t get it ! So far this has cost $2506 for two or $1203 a piece. The E price when we booked was $453. I flew Taca countless times in the 90’s. To Belize, Guatemala, & of course CR. &really enjoyed them., especially all the 20 something Sal hunnies working the cabin, now they have dudes serving drinks plus some over forty types. NG. Well I’m getting off the point, but does any one has any ideas to get a response out of these people? I could sure use some help.

Call your credit card company & Dispute the 2nd transaction for the big amount... .When they ask for proff show them a copy of the purchased Iten.. plus the copy of the same flight Iten they forced you to buy... More often than not the company in this case "TACA' is so screwed up they wont even respond to the chargeback request in time so your credit you dispute will remain permanent...

YOU ALWAYS HAVE Recourse if you charged the ticket...
