I need to take a day trip to Atenas, spend 4 hours or so there and then back to the gulch. What is the best way to pull this off and how much should i expect to pay.

Public Bus Schedule:

ATENAS from San José, ev. day at 6-9- 11 am and 2- 4-6-7 pm. A.1, C.16/, "Coca Cola" Terminal, Tel: 446-5019

I believe you can also go there by way of the Orotina Bus, which has a few more departure times:

OROTINA from San José, ev. day at 5-6-7-10 am and 2-4-5-6-7 pm. A.1, C.16/, "Coca Cola" Terminal, Tel: 428-8096
