Sangram,

Dpelufo, Tango India and Kamur on extremely different parts of San Jose. I don't know your motives or intents while being here, but if it's to indulge in pay4play, then I suggest you stay in the gulch area, and I particularly recommend Sportsman's Lodge, Presidente or Del Rey as your hotel choices. This will atleast keep you in the p4p playground area, though it won't be near any of your mentioned Strip Joints.

The great thing about the gulch area is that you can find a taxi literally on almost every street corner at any time, so you should have no worries about being able to catch a quick ride to any of your mentioned spots at the drop of a dime. Even Sportsman's, which is a little out of the way, can have a taxi available for you in less than 5 minutes at any time, day or night.

Being that you are a VIP member, I suggest you spend some time reading through the tons and tons of posts on this forum, you'll get to figuring out a little about things such as your question posted and others you may have. Get a hold of Prolijo's and/or GetRhythm's Monger Maps to get a lay of the land so you can see where things are located, etc. etc.

And most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Hope this helps.

Ruffnutz

I don't think it is even possible to make a recommendation based on those criteria. All the clubs you mentioned are in widely scattered parts of the San Jose area. D'Pelufos is west of downtown, actually west of San Pedro even. Kamur is south of town and not in the nicest area. And Tango India is furthest out in Uruca which is WNW of San Jose. Now, if you don't mind being out of the action as far as all the other venues in town are concerned, one might be able to recommend some places near some of these. For example, the Best Western Irazu is not too far from the Tango India but far away from everywhere else. Do you really want to make that one place the centerpiece of your stay? Most people don't come to CR for the strip clubs which tend to be the much more overpriced than other P4P options.

The other thing is that strip clubs are a nighttime event. In most parts of San Jose, you're not going to want to walk very far at night which means taking a cab which means what difference does it make if you're a little further away. It makes far more sense to be close to your daytime activities which you are more likely to walk to. For example, the downtown BW is right in the heart of the Zona Roja, still not the nicestarea to hang out. There are a whole bunch of really nice hotels to stay at in the Amon/Otoya neighborhood just east of that and north of the gulch that have been reviewed thoroughly on this board and which are conveniently close to both ZB and NF. Less commonly mentioned here but supposedly chica friendly and close to the Paseo Colon/Oasis group of MP's is the Ambassador Hotel.

Your best bet for a hotel if you still insist on being near a concentration of strip clubs is probably the Hotel Doral, though I can't say how "nice" it is. RBC and others have recommended it as a more budget oriented hotel (like $25/nt). It is within even nighttime walking distance of Le Grillon Niteclub and possibly Club Flamingo. Also close by in that area, though possibly a short cab ride at night are the tico strip clubs Molino Rojo, Arcadas and Miss Caribe and all of those are directly north of Kamur maybe 2 minutes away by cab.

Personally, I'd go with Ruff on this particularly since you're a newbie. Stick closer to the usual playground that is where you're probably going to be spending most of your time anyway.

Cool, thanks guys, I did not all these clubs are so far from ech other,I thought they might all be in downtown area or something like that.

Are these strip clubs really expensive?

As long as I can get a cab to go to these clubs I am fine.
Thanks again,I sure will try to have fun.

Sangram,

Go to the search function and type in a search for any of the names you mentioned... you'll get alot of info on each place. In particular, there is a pretty recent thread made by Capo2daCapo who made a very informtative and objective review of all (or atleast MOST) of the more popular strip clubs in town. I'm kinda tight on time right now so I can't find the thread and post a link for ya, sorry!

Personally, the top three places are Pantera Rosa, Le Grillion, and Kamur for strip clubs at reasonable prices in San Jose. I've never really given D'Pelufo an honest chance, but I hear the chicas there are second-to-none in hotness.

Research, research, and research some more on this forum... Knowledge is power, especially in this game!

Enjoy!

In all sincerity...Make your first stop at Happy Hour at the Blue Marlin Bar at Hotel Del Rey. Make a buddy or two from members of this board. You will receive first hand, good advice and companionship as you venture out to enjoy San Jose. Members of this board are usually around and willing to give you valuable advice. Some people have had to learn their way the hard way. You don't have to.
