You can find a lot about different Hotels by searching the CRT site. I like Hotel Morazon. Reasonable rates. I think I paid about $45 per night including taxes. No Chica fees. No limit on chicas. Bar. Restaraunt. Casino. In the middle of things. Next door to Key Largo. Almost always chicas in the Hotel Morazon bar. Biggest dislike I have is the strong cigarette odor throughout the hotel, but that is usually not a problem after the first day. You kinda get used to it. |

I have not sateyed there either....BUT..........was having broblems with Hurricane Wilma and the Prez couldn't swich my dates cause they were full..... Basicily the Morazon told me to "Drop dead".....they Knew I was in a bind and wanted to charge me twice the going rate and charge a "chica fee" I just blew them off I will say that Bill @SL and his staff went WAY OUT of there way to get me a room..........he even kick out a family member to get me the room. Unfortunalely just got word that my mother just passed so I can't take advanage of all there HARD work to get me a room...............but if possable I would HIGHLY recomend the SL Bill and staff are GREAT |

Had you ever stayed at the Morazon before and were you one of their regular customers or did you just call them out of the blue because you were stuck? After all, why would they discount their suites or go out of their way to help you ahead of their regular customers? Also what was your previous relationship with Bill and the SL? He gets a lot of business from this board (maybe even most of it) and naturally is going to be more responsive to a CRT'er. I bet the Morazon would be more responsive too if they got as much business from us as the SL does. And if you had actually stayed at the SL before yourself, it makes even more sense. Of course, we all know Bill's reputation for sound hotel management is much better than the Morazon's, but I can't help feeling there is something you're leaving out of your story.

I think if you have stayed before and email maria she will look out for you if you will be there for a while your best spot now may be the marriott or Del rey although I dont like the beds at the del rey. If MP are on you menu you can stay at the holiday inn it only one block away from ZB and NF. |

I stayed at the Morazan a couple of times, never experienced any problems and enjoyed my stay. The rates I paid were in the $40-$45 per night range for a std room, and I never paid the advertised $5 chica fee. When I was in San Jose last month, I did not stay there, but I did notice a banner at the Morazan advertising $35 per night. The front desk will fax you a credit card authorization form which you need to complete and return by fax. Within a day or two, Morazan will fax you the form back with a confirmation number. Make sure you bring the confirmation with you. Also, tell the taxi driver to take you to the Hotel Costa Rica Morazan, because there is a small B&B nearby called the Morazan. I hope this helps. I was thinking 'where is this guy going'? The 'B&B Morazan' is located a few blocks northeast of the Holiday Inn. I had to direct him to the Gulch Hotel Morazan. Fortunately they aren't too far away from each other. |
