Post subject:  Presidente Gym

I have been to the Presidente for a 1 nighter, seeing how the guy who had my room at the DR was still on his fishing trip and my room was not available and on Friday night, no open rooms to be found there. Ok fine. Gave me the chance to check out the Presidente, the DR even called out to check for available rooms for me.

I have a question, has anyone been into the "little" gym there they have ? And yes I have searched for that here, but if this little gym is worth anything, would help me out. The web site is useless here since they are not done with getting the site up to date. I often find that most "gyms' in any hotel is just about useless, but maybe someone has checked it out and can return a little more info. thanks.

I saw it Labor Day weekend. It's on the 7th floor, just to the right as you get off the elevator. It looked brand new and almost ready to open. Bright room, large windows. I didn't inventory the type of equipment though.

That is what I am looking for, an invetory of the equipment type. I am hoping it will be good enough.

Anyone used this gym yet, and can tell me the type of equipement they have (i.e. free weights, universal/other resistence machines, types of cardio)? And yes, I DO plan on getting most of my workout on the chica-master as well.

It's more "universal machine" type equipment, not serious equipment. It's fine to get a light workout but nothing like a real gym imo. The hotel Saint Thomas has a nice little gym for $6. I was told you have all day access once you pay. It's across the street and down from the MP Muses, an easy walk from Presidente.
