These posts are 14 years old and should be removed. Doesn't anyone have any recent information ? This is the year 2019 not 2005.

I have used Sergio , who speaks English fluently, on many occasions from the airport to San Jose. He’s very reliable. Will stop at the bank to exchange money on the way to the hotel. Very good guy. 6062-6514

This is great information. Thanks everyone.

The first step in a trip, is of course booking a flight, which is fun and gets you looking forward immediately to latina fun
.. and now with this information, you've cleared that final obstacle to the best way in getting to homebase, and maybe chicas as well, if you're at sportsmen. ( aside from auxiliary trips to Monica's, etc via walking or other means )

p.s. Vanessa is quite the beauty.

Yes,but looking at her spikes my high blood pressure, and I might have a stroke on the way from the airport.

Can anyone suggest a good driver who's still working? I reached out to Vanessa, who was mentioned above, but she said that she can't drive on Wednesday, which is the day I'll be arriving. I hate getting hustled by the taxis at the airport, but that might be the only way for me to get to my hotel after I arrive.

I set mine up thru my hotel, SL, they’re going to have a driver meet me at the airport when I arrive Wednesday night @midnight :)

Is it easy to get an Uber from airport? When I was here a few months ago I had Uber drivers refuse to bring me to airport because he said he wasn’t allowed to

Uber drivers are reluctant to pick up at the airport as the taxi drivers and sometimes the police will hassle them and have been known to assault them. If you do find an uber driver willing to pick you up they will probably have you go to the departures area and have you wait toward the end.

Before ubers, if arriving in the late morning or afternoon, I would go to the departures area after visiting the BCR bank kiosk to get some colones and grab a taxi that has just finished dropping someone off. I would offer them $20 to $25 to take me to centro, flat rate, propina included and they seldom would turn it down. Technically they are not allowed to pick up at the airport and would otherwise have to deadhead back to town without a fare.

Are bars still closing at 9 pm? And if so is it still possible to get an Uber back to my place at 9. Or do I have to take a taxi?
