VERY dependable/great prices
Knows all of CR like the back of his hand
speaks good English
has a small bus, so he can do groups
great for last minute trips/requests
does local and trips to the beaches

All phone numbers in Costa Rica, and in some other central American countries, are 8 digits. In CR the first digit is either a 2 indicating it is a landline or an 8 indicating that it is a cell phone. That has some relevance to those who are concerned about their phone bills because in CR the caller to a cell phone is charged for the call not the cell phone owner.

I like to take the TUASA public bus to and from the airport. About 80 cents US. Runs often. Terminal is at Ave 2 and Calle 12-14.

Giving recommendation for Steve with Pura Vida Transport. Picked me up at the airport, and took me on a tour of the gulch. Great guy, very knowledgeable of the gulch. For my first trip to Costa Rica, he really helped me get acquainted with the area. He is a good guy to talk too and gave me a lot of good advice. If you need a driver and or a guide, you cannot go wrong with him. :!:
