Funny, I went to Continental and found the Atl- SJO RT total fair at $385 in November. Great price! It goes through Houston. The advertised price from Houston RT is $422 +. What's up with that? :)

Thanks a lot for the info. I'm going to try and squeeze a November trip because of this price.

I went to Continental.com and plugged the trip from Atlanta in different dates into Feb 06 and most of the time was coming up $385 total. Great time to plan and book.

The fares seem to be jumping around a bit. I saw a farefrom Newark NJ to SJ a few weeks ago RT for $298. Since then I have seen it at 650, 501, and now 401. I hope it continues to go down. What do most guys pay to get there?

Tuxedo......I just booked a flight on US AIRWAYS from Washington/Dulles to San Jose for $339.00 total R/T. That was on Sunday. It must have been a one day sale, because the next day it was about $100.00 more.

In the past, I was able to get a UNITED flight from Washington/Dulles for $270.00 to $370.00 total, and that was a non-stop direct flight.

Recently, UNITED doesn't seem to be showing up anywhere with prices this low, or even the direct flight.

I'm flying out of Philly for my newbie trip on 11/7 - 11/14. My wingman and I switched from weekend flights to Monday to Monday flights. Flight from Philly was $450.00. This was a $200.00 saving over our best fare we could find on weekend flights.
