Take the bus. I don't know the price but its cheaper than a taxi. Most taxi's will charge you $80.0 to Jaco....Damn, thats a session with a 9 or 10?!? Muhahaha |

Might want to do a roll call and ask other CRTs if they would be interested. You could then rent a car/SUV which is about $350 for a few days. |

I use Interbus for long trips outside San Jose. The vans are fast, reliable and comfortable. Interbus picks up at your hotel and will drop you off at the doorstep of your destination. The price from San Jose to Jaco is $17.00 (One-way). Check out Interbus at: www.costaricapass.com. Blue Devil |

You can barter with the taxi drivers and get the ride for between $ 55 and $ 60 and go whenever you want. The problem with Interbus although it is a lot cheaper is that they have set schedules. |

Local express bus runs several times a day like every couple of hours. For info on local buses pick up a copy of Hop a Bus at the national tourist office by the gold museum which is also worth a look for the new guy .rbc100 |

Let's see. A) Take a taxi for $55-60 and leave when you want or B) Wait a couple of hours for the next bus and have an extra MP session to kill the time while you wait for about the same or much less total money. You guys may disagree, but I think I'll go with B. |

good point prolijo. if alone, take the bus for cheap. if you got several guys that can divide the costs, take a van with a driver. aside from getting picked up and dropped off where and when you want, you can party in the back, sleep on the seats, and enjoy the ride a little more. depends what you want. if you want the name and number of an english speaking driver with an autobus, PM me. |
