I have been informed by the man himself that they have already installed safes in all rooms at SL, way ahead of the October schedule. No more asking the front desk to hide your passports, cash, etc. This place just gets better and better. SL listens to their customers' concerns. -Orange |

Is wireless internet available in the rooms at Sportsman Lodge. I've only stayed at Amon, never at Sportsman. Amon has wireless available in the rooms but was wondering whether Sportsman does too. Thx. |

Wireless throughout the hotel. Just turn it on and let your scan find the best signal. It will also be in the new section of the hotel. In July I helped check the signal in the new rooms. |

Gotta have my air conditioner. That is the only thing that is holding me back from there. On my labor day trip, I intend to hang out there quit a bit. |

Dear John, I, too, was one that felt that I would never stay at a hotel without air conditioning. Last month, I ended up going to CR four days earlier than planned and Pres couldn't accomodate me so I stayed at the SL. I ended up cancelling my reservation at the Pres and stayed at the SL for most of the three weeks. At this time of year, I found I didn't miss the air conditioning. But, I don't know if it would be totally comfortable in the hot season, Have a Great Day, Dave |

July, it was hot in the room Bellaza. However, it wasn't a dealbreaker for staying there. I like to be sweatin' with a Tica. That is certainly good news on the safes! |

Safes in every room? That's another plus for the SL. The only thing I can suggest to improve the experience at the SL is for that safe to be initially stocked with V, KY, untampered skins, and a bottle of JD ![]() |

RHM, It's funny you mention the heat in Belleza... I stayed there for 4 nights for the 4th of July weekend and it was really REALLY hot in there, but now in early August I tried two other rooms and it pleasantly cool, even though temperature-wise, July and early August aren't all that terribly different... I have a feeling that Belleza is so damn hot because it is the closest room to the KITCHEN, and though I have never been actually in the kitchen itself, maybe there's a stove or oven against the wall shared by Belleza. I know I even had the door and window open, with ceiling fan and floor fan at full blast and couldn't cool the room off. Like I said, though, no such issue in the other rooms I have stayed in. As I was staying at SL, my amigo Ralph was finishing the instalations of the safes in the room. I found the heat not a problem. I slept with the fan rotating slowly. Toadtamer |
