Admin....there is a conflict on your dates for the big Blackjack tournement. The news blurb says Sept 3-4th.Their ad says August 28th and 29th. I believe the correct dates are the 28-29th of August.

Post subject:  Potentially dumb newbie-style question
Hello guys,

First of all, can anyone tell me the typical turnaround time for e-mails to be answered by Nixon? I'm a bit concerned; I received an e-mail from him explaining the room rate and reservation details, and as requested, I replied to his message with my credit card information. This was something like 48 hours ago, so perhaps I'm jumping the gun. I guess I'm just very adrenalized about coming to town for the party and the week prior.

Second, can anyone recommend a particularly desireable room at the Amon Plaza? Are there any rooms which are "must avoids?"

Finally, I understand both the purpose of the casino rate and the fact that the hotel sells rooms to the casino at a fixed price (i.e. there is no direct profit for the casino from renting rooms). That being stated, is there any chance Nixon would graciously upgrade me to a junior suite at the $75.00/rate. It is after all, la temporada lluviosa, green season.

Usually gets back within 48 hours. You can also call him at the number listed in the special.

There are no rooms to avoid and the Jr. Suite is 98% the same as a regular room It has a larger desk work area thats about it.

I've stayed at the Amon Plaza and would highly recommend it. As far as the rooms don't waste your money on the suites, there only about 10 foot longer with a pull out sleeper sofa, so unless your having a large group I wouldn't bother. Also, all the rooms are good and when you make your request, ask for the fourh floor.

Cool. Thanks very much. I've been told by more than a few guys here and elsewhere that the Amon Plaza is a great hotel. I'm looking forward to staying there!
