If you are planning to attend the festivities on Labor Day weekend, then I suggest that you get your reservations quickly.
A ticket from MIA to SJO was $246 ten days ago...the same ticket is now $340 . At this rate, it will be around $500 by August.

Wow- did I get lucky! I booked last Wed. when I saw $186 w/impuesto. Us Air out of FLL. I think I'll book a few more out a few months if I can get these rates. They were there yesterday for Oct.,Nov., Dec.
Be there 8/31-9/8

I believe the airfare for some of the carriers, such as USAirways, take a steep drop on or after September 1st. Try checking fares from FLL if there is not a good rate from your home airport. That $186 qoute sounds good from FLL.

YO Flying Fuckers:

Yea, we here in the Pits of Jax (northe Florida) get screwed all the time when it comes to flights to SJ or anywhere for that matter. $496. for flight 2 months away. One can get it for $456 if they want to go north all the way to Charolett to change planes and then 4 hours to SJ. Shit.

Mi amigo Circus...couldn't you drive to Orlando, park in the 'off-site' lot, and take either Martinair or Condor to SJO? I've done that quite a few times (from Tampa/St. Pete) and it was cheaper for me than flying out of Tampa. Martinair used to fly only once a week, but I believe they added one or two more flights per week. Also, they fly non-stop to SJO, so you don't have to go through Miami. Just a thought.

YO GT:
You are indeed correct and that is what I've done the last 3 trips, $339. with no stops. Have flown Martinair a number of times and upgraded to star class for $50. Tim, since they added more flights they no longer fly the wide body jet and the attendant service has decreased. Just pointing out about this shit port in Jax. As to Orlando, I really hated it when last year they closed the Crown room out on the departing wing......hell, there was free booze, snacks, TV, comfortable chairs and quiet rooms. You could even sneak a smoke. Circus was in his element.....even took huggie in there one time (that's another story all in itself.) I really miss that lounge.
