A late one too. I stayed with the sportsmens lodge on May 18-22 on a little two week excursion to Costa. As always Bill and his staff make you feel at home before even getting through the door. It was more of a relaxing trip than anything and I was able to set up tours through the hotel. Top notch on everything. You can not go wrong staying there, or even stopping in for a drink. Even when I returned to SJ after a time spent on the carr. coast, I headed back over for the atmospher. They do book up rather far in advance.....so plan ahead. I also want to congradulate them on the new addition to the hotel comming soon. Can't wait to see how it comes along knowing it will only expand on the great sucess they have experienced! Thanks Bill and I'll see you in Oct.!!

ps - The food is pretty damn good too.

Just Wondering. SL sounds like a great place but I'm planning a July visit and can't imagine surviving without AC. Do they offer any rooms with AC?

In SJ at night it is still very comfortable. The Sportsmens Lodge has ceiling fans in the rooms the work great. I remember seeing a box fan in one as well. When people say A/C isn't nessesary in SJ its true. It is more comfy there than here in FL. to me, and it doesnt take much for me to break a sweat. Bill and his staff will go above and beyond anyone you'll find in CR to make you comfortable and make sure our stay is enjoyable! Trust me, give them a try, you won't regret it!
