Personally, I think that Copacabana place is an overpriced dump. (Although the pool is nice!)

For that kinda money, they should have AC in the rooms and a back up generator.

They do have AC in the rooms (at least in my regular room and the suites my friends were in). There is a TV type remote control that turns it on and off and you can set the temp. along with the speed of the ceiling fan. I don't consider it a dump although I did report on some issues in the past from a trip in early April. Nine of us are returning in July and we're staying at the Copa again. I was just there and everything was fine. EVERY room has TV/remote and Airconditioning, microwave, refrig and toaster. I also personally feel the kitchen is unheralded. They do a great breakfast (I am a picky breakfast guy) and their Saturday night grill specials of steak and fish are 1st rate at a very reasonable price.

If there are problems, you HAVE to deal with Leo the manager as a number of the staff are NOT take charge service oriented people. But thats most ANYWHERE in Jaco...and Costa Rica for that matter. For the CRT discount price and lack of guest fees, I know of no better "on the beach" room deals in Jaco. Just my humble opinion...
