Post subject: | First trip - where to stay |
I am visiting Costa Rica in July for my first time. I am interested in hotel suggestions. I would like a nice-very nice hotel preferably with in-room internet access (wireless is fine) close to the action, the beach, and friendly to bringing "guests" to your room. Can you provide suggestions? Links to hotel websites or information would be great? Any must-visit suggestions for a first trip? Brian |

Copa in Jaco. I like the place. I think they have internet access but not positive. However, it is near the action and the beach. Love the swim up bar. dapanz1 |

Get excited and jump in with both feet as Puro Tico mentioned. The Del Rey will be something to be remembered on you first trip. Embellish every moment! Pura Vida! GG |

BGR, try doing a search there are tons of hotels mentioned on this site that are close to the HDR. The Morazon is probably the closest as it is just on the other side of HDR's parking lot. The Presidente is around the next block. Slightly further away and in no particular order are the Sportsmens Lodge, the Castillo , the Amon Plaza. These are not as close to the HDR, but are very close to several MP's. They've all been heavily reviewed here, so just do a search for more details and web addresses. If that is too tough for you, just try clicking on one of their banners which appear at the bottom of just about EVERY page on this website. |

I don't see the reason for the attitude in your response. I'm posting to this board to get some suggestions - which seems to be the purpose of the board. If I wanted to click on advertisements, I wouldn't need to come to this site. |

![]() I prefer to think of the DR as 'centrally located'. |

BGR, Do not take offense from some posts here. They are not directed at you personally they just reflect the frustration of posters here seeing the same question over and over. It creates unneeded clutter and quite frankly gets annoying. There is a "Newbie" section here. Read it and a lot of your questions will be answered. Learn to use the search function so that you can read the material posted in the past. A simple search would have led you to this post: https://costaricaticas.com/phpBB2/vi ... php?t=6227 You will find a warm welcome here and a lot of seasoned CR vets very willing to assist you, IF you do some homework first. Bienvenido ![]() |
