Post subject:  Places to stay on the east coast

I will be back in C.R. June 1 - June 8. Was thinking about maybe getting a two day beach fix after a few days in S.J. So looking for a recommendation on some place to stay on the beach (Caribbean). The closer to S.J. the better. Doesn't have to be real fancy (will consider fancy) but probably better than insect netting on the bed. Is the east coast heat index as bad as the west coast??

Mongering not a serious consideration but if you just happen know a good place...

Thanks,

Not exactly close to SJ....rather far. Puerto viejo on the southern caribbean is a great little place. Avoid Limon for it doesnt look as enticing. Chaquita is nice as well just a little north of PV. The best place I have found is La Costa De Papito cababns. (www.greencoast.com). Comfy, convienent and rather nice for that area. Not to $$$. The heat and humidity is not so bad either. I am in FL and it beats this place. Rain in the summer is often like clock work. Afternoon or night time showers but it doesn't spike the humidity after the showers. It's my favorite destination as for beaches. Everyones friendly and a decent night life. PM me if you want more details as I am heading there this May.

Thanks for the info DTA. After searching the web it appeared PV was the place to go. Now I know. But I decided it was such a long drive that it probably should be a trip longer than two days. So I'm probably going to put it off till winter when I might have a chance to do a long C.R. trip.
