Post subject:  Sansa or Nature?

Flying from Quepos to San Jose--is there any difference between Sansa and Nature Air or are they pretty much the same? Thx.

Have flown both from Quepos to SJ. I think Nature is a couple of $ cheaper and they run a twin engine plane. Also with Nature you land at Pavas instead of Juan Santamaria. Pavas is a little closer to the gulch also, not much though. There is also a third airline but I can't remember the name and I haven't used it.

Post subject:  Pavas Airport

Last time I took a cab to a friend's house next to the Pavas airport, it was 1500 colones. They charged me the rate to the airport from the Pres. That's a lot cheaper than going to Alejuela.

Sounds like if my plan is to fly out of SJO for my return to the States on the same day I'm flying in from Quepos then I'm better off taking Sansa since it lands at SJO too.

Nature Air costs a few bucks more than Sansa, and they have a MUCH better reputation for on-time departure and arrival than Sansa. Also, Pavas Airport is more convenient and quicker to fly in and out of than Juan Santamaria , and the savings in cab fare will almost make up the fare difference. I'd pick Nature Air, unless you are connecting through a flight at Juan Santamaria.
